Essais des éléments localisés

CSOFT offers professional localization testing in addition to our standalone software testing solutions which include internationalization (I18), functionality, and localization testing.

Localization testing focuses primarily on a product's cosmetic and linguistic aspects. Par exemple, un logiciel une fois localisé doit être essayé sur différentes plates-formes pour vérifier que ses éléments traduits s'inscrivent correctement dans les boîtes de dialogue, que les touches de raccourci sont pourvues de lettres univoques, etc. CSOFT conduit ses essais de localisation pour chaque langue cible à partir d'un sous-ensemble de scripts d'essai mis au point pour la version anglaise. Si ces scripts d'essais ne sont pas disponibles, nous pouvons mettre au point un protocole d'essais en collaboration avec le client, comme par exemple la vérification de chaque menu, boîte de dialogue et message des fichiers traduits.

Linguistic Testing
Our linguistic testing usually considers the following issues during testing:

• If all UI strings have been tested (both hard coded and external resource strings)
• Translation consistency between menu items and dialog box titles
• If accented characters display and print properly
• Punctuation rules
• Localized text wraps, hyphenation, and sorting
• If hot key assignment is consistent with the target operating system

Cosmetic Testing
The following is a list of items we test for cosmetic (appearance) issues:

• Ensure all dialog boxes are properly resized without truncation.
• Uniqueness of all hot keys in dialog boxes and menus
• Extended characters display as expected
• Alignment of buttons, consistent sizing of screen elements and overall aesthetics
• Dialog boxes and menu display properly using regional settings
